FASHION RE-IMAGINED - Fashion Illustration Masterclass with YUKO: PONTARIVER

New York–based illustrator Yuko Katakawa, known to many as Pontariver of Art Studio Yuko, brings her vibrant, versatile style to this exclusive DDGD masterclass.

In Fashion Reimagined, Yuko explores how a fashion sketch can be transformed by the techniques we choose. Using specially curated images from the Dropdead Gorgeous Drawing archive as her muse, she shows how a small number of figure references can inspire a series of fresh interpretations such as pen & ink, watercolour, collage, mixed media, and expressive fountain pen studies.

Rather than one “right way,” Yuko reveals how fashion illustration can open up into an array of possibilities - each mark, colour, and medium giving the same image a new life. This session will unlock your creativity and inspire illustrators of all levels to experiment, loosen up, and expand their own drawing vocabulary.

Yuko Katakawa (Pontariver) is a New York–based illustrator whose work captures the energy and style of fashion in flowing lines and vibrant colour. Through her platform Art Studio Yuko and Instagram handle @pontariver, she shares her unique approach to live fashion sketching, editorial illustration, and experimental mixed media.
